奶业科学研究所隶属国家重点(培育)学科-动物营养与饲料科学学科，是绿色饲料与健康养殖国家工程研究中心、浙江大学动物分子营养学教育部重点实验室、农业部动物营养与饲料(华东)重点开放实验室、浙江省饲料与动物营养重点研究实验室和浙江省饲料产业科技创新服务平台的重要组成部分，设有浙江大学-阿尔伯塔大学动物功能基因组与微生物学联合实验室，浙江大学-浙江一鸣食品全产业链联合实验室。 

现有教授5人，副教授2人，百人计划研究员1人，特聘副研究员2人，讲座教授3人，技术员2人，博士后7人，在读博士生24人，硕士生52人。研究室主要从事奶牛营养与健康、消化道微生态与功能、泌乳生理与营养调控、饲料资源开发与利用、营养与污染控制等领域的研究。近年来，承担国家973计划课题、国家杰出青年基金、国家优秀青年基金，国家支撑计划、国家自然科学基金、科技部国际科技合作、国际原子能机构、省部级项目20多项，总经费3000多万元。获省部级科技进步奖6项，获授权国家发明专利13项。发表学术论文600篇，其中SCI收录论文400多篇。

        The institute of dairy science of Zhejiang University belongs to discipline of Animal Nutrition and Feed Science (Key Discipline of moA in 2000, National Key Discipline in 2007). It plays an important role in the National Engineering Research Center of Green Feeds and Healthy Livestock Industry. The LRN is a part of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Molecular Animal Nutrition, the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs Key of Anir   Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed Science, the Zhejiang Province's Key Laboratories of Feed and Animal   Nutrition, as well as Innovation and Service Platform for R D   in Feed Industry in Zhejiang province, Zhejiang University-University of Zhejiang Yiming Food Industry-wide chain joint laboratory.

We have 5 professors and 1 research professor, 2 associate professors and 2 research associate professors, 3 adjunct professors, 2 technician and 7 postdoctoral fellows. Currently, 24 PhD candidates and 52 Master students are in the LRN. Research interests in the LRN include dairy nutrition and health, lactation biology, rumen microbiology metagenomics, rumen physiology and fermentation, efficient utilization of feed resources, reduction of nitro release to the environment, etc. Research funding sources include the Ministry of Science Tech nology National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFO), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agricultural& Affairs IAEA, Provincial Department of S&T and industries.
